Outreach & Design Feedback

We are committed to ensuring that the design of this fellowship directly support the needs and requests of communities who are most impacted by racial disparities in our Early Childhood systems.

Our community and stakeholder outreach has included individual phone/Zoom meetings with over 60 early childhood, racial equity, and fellowship leaders in Washington and across the country, with an emphasis on learning from experienced BIPOC leaders in this work.

In addition, through direct research and word-of-mouth, we solicited feedback via a comprehensive survey this past summer, gaining valuable insight from over 250 Washington early childhood practitioners. A summary of the results of this survey is included below.

Moving forward, we are partnering with BIPOC facilitators to host Focus Groups across Washington state that center geographic, racial, and ethnic representation.
